What Kinds of Dental Accolades Do You Have?
During his time at Baylor, Dr. Walker was a member of the Odontological Honors Society and was selected to receive the Oral Biology Award and Merritt-Parks Award in Periodontics. Also, during his periodontal residency, he served as Chief Resident and conducted research analyzing the bone response to new implant surfaces. His research was published in the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants.
Dr. Walker was honored as a New Dentist of the Year in 2013 by the Dallas County Dental Society, where he is an active member. Additionally, he holds memberships to several professional organizations.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
A Dallas native, Dr. Walker chose to attend Baylor College of Dentistry. After completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery, he continued his education in Periodontics at the same school. At the end of a three-year residency program, he received his Master of Science degree and his certificate in Periodontology.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
In his free time, Dr. Walker really enjoys playing tennis and traveling with his wife Laura and their two children.
